Look, I try to keep dinner exciting. Some nights itās hearty stews. Other nights, we keep it simple. And yes ā once in a while, we fall back on cereal (donāt judge me). But then I made these Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs ā and everything changed.
It was one of those āwhat do I even make?ā kind of nights. I had some ground beef in the fridge, biscuit dough from last weekās grocery run, and a craving for something cheesy and satisfying. So I seasoned the beef like a burger, added a few slices of melty cheese, wrapped it all in dough, and brushed the tops with garlic butter and parmesan like I meant business.

What came out of the oven? Pure gold. Crispy outside, juicy and cheesy inside, and that garlic-parmesan crust? Man⦠even I was impressed. My kids didnāt say a word ā just wide eyes, big bites, and nods of approval. Then my youngest goes, āDad⦠you could sell these.ā
It was one of those small wins that just hit different. I sat down, took a bite, and thought: Yep, weāve got a keeper.
These cheeseburger bombs are simple, fun, and packed with flavor. Theyāre perfect for dinner, game day, road trips, or feeding a crowd without breaking a sweat.

Ingredients ā Real Stuff, Real Flavor
Hereās everything youāll need to make these cheesy, garlicky, crave-worthy bombs. Nothing fancy. Just good ingredients that do their job right.
The Bombs:
- 1 lb ground beef
I go for 80/20 ā juicy but not greasy. You can also sub with ground turkey or chicken if youāre switching it up. - 1 tsp salt
Trust me, donāt skip it. This makes the beef pop. - 1/2 tsp black pepper
A little kick, nothing wild. - 1 tsp garlic powder
Or fresh minced garlic if you like it punchy, you’ve got to try Homemade Cheesy Bread with Garlic. - 1 tsp onion powder
It rounds out that āburgerā flavor. - 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
Adds a subtle tangy burger vibe. Totally optional but I like it in there. - 6 slices cheddar or American cheese
Cut each slice into quarters so they fit inside the bombs ā theyāll melt into pure gold. - 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)
I usually go with the flaky layers kind. Theyāre easier to work with and puff up beautifully.
Garlic Parmesan Butter (aka the crown):
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter ā melted
Donāt be shy with the butter. This is what gives that golden top its shine. - 2 cloves garlic ā minced or grated
Or use 1 tsp garlic powder if youāre in a rush. - 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
The real deal, not the green shaker stuff (but hey, if thatās what youāve got ā go for it). - 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
For color and a little herby touch. I like to sprinkle it right at the end.
Letās Make Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs ā Step-by-Step
1. Brown the beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook your ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain any extra grease. Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and mustard (if using). Give it a taste ā this is your cheeseburger base, so season it like you mean it.
Pro tip: Let it cool a bit before filling the biscuits, or theyāll get too soft to seal.
2. Prep the biscuit dough
Pop open the biscuit can (donāt flinch ā weāve all jumped at the āpopā š ). Flatten each biscuit into a circle, about 4ā5 inches across. You want enough space to fill and seal.

3. Add the cheesy goodness
Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each dough circle. Top with a piece of cheese (or two if youāre feelinā bold). Fold the edges up and pinch to seal tight ā like a little doughy pouch of joy.
If anything leaks, just patch it with a little extra dough. Itās forgiving.
4. Bake ’em up
Place the sealed bombs seam-side down on a lined baking sheet. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 12ā15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
I always peek at the 12-minute mark ā your oven may run hot or cool.

5. Make the garlic parm topping
While the bombs are baking, mix the melted butter with garlic and parmesan. As soon as they come out of the oven, brush them generously with the garlic butter. Sprinkle parsley on top if youāre feelinā fancy.
Warning: your kitchen is gonna smell unreal at this point.

What to Serve With Cheeseburger Bombs?
These are everything on their own, but here are a few ways to round it out:
- Cozy it up with Creamy Chicken Soup or Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup.
- Add a quick green salad or slaw to lighten things up.
- Game day? Line a tray with these bombs and let everyone dunk into sauces: BBQ, spicy mayo, mustard, or garlic aioli.
And there you go ā Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs that bring flavor, fun, and a little bit of burger magic to your table. These never last long in my house⦠so I always make a double batch. š

Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs FAQs
Q: Can I make these ahead of time?
Yes ā and they reheat like a dream. Just bake them, let them cool, and store in an airtight container in the fridge. To reheat, pop them in the oven at 350°F for about 8ā10 minutes until warmed through. The garlic parm topping stays golden and delicious.
Q: Can I freeze cheeseburger bombs?
Absolutely! Bake them first, cool completely, then freeze in a zip-top bag. When youāre ready to eat, reheat straight from frozen at 350°F for 15ā18 minutes. You can brush a little fresh garlic butter on top before serving to bring that flavor back to life.
Q: Can I make these without biscuit dough?
You can! Try pizza dough or crescent roll dough as an alternative. Just make sure you seal them well so none of that cheesy goodness escapes.
